Emily founded Dental in 2009 with a simple idea: a dental practice should explain everything before it treats anything. Nearly two decades later, that principle still shapes how the practice operates.
She completed advanced restorative training at the University of Michigan and now leads the practice's implant and full-mouth rehabilitation work, taking referrals from colleagues across Central Texas. She also oversees clinical quality and team mentoring.
Outside the office, Emily teaches continuing-education courses and volunteers with a school screening program in Travis County.
Working days can change with leave and clinic cover. Online booking always shows the real diary.
Treatments
Online booking only offers a clinician for treatments they are configured to carry out.
A full assessment of your teeth, gums, bite and soft tissues, with a written plan and costed options before anything is booked.
A titanium root placed in the jawbone and restored with a custom crown — the closest thing dentistry has to replacing a tooth completely.
Custom-made ceramic restorations that rebuild a heavily damaged tooth, or replace a missing one using the teeth on either side.
Composite fillings bonded directly to the tooth, shaded to match the surrounding enamel and shaped to your natural bite.
Treatment that removes infection from inside the tooth and saves it, performed under local anesthetic with rotary instruments and magnification.
Dentist-supervised whitening using custom-made trays, with a shade record taken before and after so the change is measured rather than guessed.
Patient reviews
I had put off a root canal for two years because of what I imagined it would be like. Dr. Carter talked me through every stage before she started, and the appointment itself was genuinely uneventful. I wish I had come in sooner.
Straightforward, well explained and no pressure to buy anything extra. They took a photo of the starting shade so at the end there was no debate about whether it had actually worked — it clearly had.
I lost a front tooth in a baseball accident. The scan, the plan, and the temporary all happened in the same week, so I was never walking around with a gap. The final crown is indistinguishable from the tooth next to it.
